Lost Dutchman State Park is an excellent starting point for exploration of the Superstition Wilderness. It is located outside of Apache Junction, Arizona. Apache Junction is just east of Phoenix and can be reached by US 60. Coming from Phoenix, you can take the South Idaho exit and head north to Apache Junction.
